far-fetched 牽強的: extremely unlikely to be true or to happen
e.g. If this were an outline for a novel it would probably be rejected as too far-fetched.

prevalent普遍的: common at a particular time, in a particular place, or among a particular  group of people
e.g. This belief is more prevalent among men than women.

prototype 原型: the first form that a new design of a car, machine etc has, or a model of it used to test the design before it is produced
e.g. Pilots have begun testing a prototype of the new aircraft.

magnetic levitation (maglev) 磁力懸浮列車: an advanced type of train which runs on a special track
e.g. The prototype maglev has notched top speeds of 320 mph.

commonplace 平凡、庸碌: happening or existing in many places, and therefore not special or unusual
e.g. It's unspeakably commonplace to follow one's instincts.
